Kit my Room ("we", "us") operates kitmyroom.co.uk, a conversational shopping site helping UK shoppers find furniture and home accessories. The site is run by Rachel Morley, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR. You can reach us at hello@kitmyroom.co.uk, and a postal address is available on request.

Messages you send in the chat. When you use the shopping concierge, the text you type is processed to understand what you're looking for and to search our product catalogue.

Usage data. We may collect standard technical information such as your browser type, device type, and pages visited, to help us understand how the site is used and to keep it working reliably.

We do not currently require an account or collect your name, email, or payment details to use the chat.

AI providers. The messages you send in the chat are passed to a third-party AI provider so your request can be interpreted and a response generated. They process this data under their own terms and privacy policy, and only for the purpose of answering your request.

Hosting and infrastructure providers. Our site, product catalogue and search run on third-party hosting and database services, which process data on our behalf under contract.

Security providers. To protect the service from abuse, a third-party service counts recent requests against your IP address. This is used only to enforce a request limit, is not linked to anything else about you, and is discarded within minutes.

When you click through to buy a product, you leave our site and go to the retailer's website. The retailer, and any affiliate network facilitating that link (see our Cookie Policy), may collect data according to their own privacy policies — we recommend reviewing them.

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not store the messages you send in the chat in our own database. They are held only for as long as it takes to process your request and generate a reply, and are shared with our AI provider as described above. IP addresses used for rate limiting are held transiently and discarded within minutes.

Kit my Room is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "last updated" date above.
